Engage your mind each day

Updated: Apr 20, 2020

We get so busy with life that we forget to stop and take a breath. As we approach each day, it is very important that we take a set time out of our day to relax, relate and release. Here are three simple things that we can do each day to relax our mind which is great for our mind, body and spirit.

Step 1. MOVEMENT AT LEAST 30 MINUTES OF YOUR DAY Find time to get a least 30 minutes of movement in your day. I hate to say excercise because some of us associate excerise with pain. But it acutally helps to alleviate pain. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins (bliss molecules) to help provide you with natural pain relief. Through sweating, you are also about to release toxins, acids and water with from your body. The toxin and acid build up leads to acidity in the body which can be tied to inflammation. This is very important with people that suffer from arthritis. Patients that suffer from arthritis feel stiff in morning which lessens at the day goes on. As you are immobile in your sleep, the inflammation builds up in your body. When you wake up and move about your day, you body starts to release the inflammation and the stiffness lessens. Cannabinoids (CBD) can also aide in this process.

Step 2. RELAXATION

A review study last year at Johns Hopkins looked at the relationship between mindfulness meditation and its ability to reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and pain. They found that the effects of meditation daily may have similar effects as taking antidepressants. Most meditation programs recommend that you take 30 minutes out of your day to relax your mind. This can be accomplished through playing calming music, infusing lavender in your room, laying on your back and closing your eyes.

Cannabinoids also help to calm your mind. Dr. Shannon Scott examined the effects of CBD oil in 72 people with anxiousness (47) and sleep issues (25). The large case study found that there was a 79% improvement in anxiousness and 66% improvement in sleep.

The combination of meditation and cannabinoids can be a powerful tools that can help restore balance to your mind body and overall mental health. Neither are a magic bullet for depression and anxiety, as no treatment is, but it’s one of the tools that may help manage symptoms.

Step 3. ENGAGE WITH OTHER

Social activity plays a major role in a health mental state. Have you heard of people up to their late 80s. These people tend to live longer because they are constantly engaging their minds in activities which helps with mental clearness. If you have retired or just working from home, take the time to engage in outside activities such as volunteering, book clubs, regular outings with friends or picking up on a new hobby.

Again, these are just some simple steps to help you have an uplifted engaged mindset for 2020. I must emphasis that consistency is the key to plan you use to change your life. Especially with using CBD oil. I tell people all the time that a lot of people fail to see any improvement because they have not taken the right dose consistently for a long enough period of time. I usually suggest that you give it a least 2 month trial before you say its not helping. Please share with your friends....
